New Book+New York Steak= "Ohhh Yea!"

Well my family and I went to T.G.I. Friday's to celebrate my 18th birthday and my sister was awesome and got me the new Sex God Book on paper, so I'm stoked, and I ate some NY Steak, delish! However I think Kathy told one of the waiters or waitresses that it was my birthday and so I had the pleasure of listening to tone deaf people yell a lil birthday song which I survived so that I could get a bowl of whip cream and a little ice cream, which wasn't half bad.

Not to mention that I also watched my new favorite show, Heroes! I have watched 17 episodes to catch up with the season and I just have one more to go. If you haven't watched the show before, I definitely think it's worth catching up on, just go HERE or you can go to

http://www.nbc.com/Video/rewind/full_episodes/heroes.shtml

where they show all of the episodes, AWESOME! Thanks Mike!

Puerto Rico Returns!

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen it's TRUE! Stevie , Levi (who couldn't exactly play because he is but 2 years of age) and I went over to Rodrigo's House and played the famed game that cannot be tamed (sorry I just had to make it rhyme, haha.) We started early and decided to dedicate our Saturday to the illustrious game of Puerto Rico. We took a lunch break and grabbed some Chipotle (which is of course heavenly), and then ate and began the rivalry once again.
I took the first game without hesitation even though I must admit I made a horrible fault of buying (blindly) a hacienda (which did me no good, its more of a good thing to buy at the beginning) when we were 3/4 through the game....I'm so ashamed. We are at this moment taking an intermission because Stevie had to go take Krista to volleyball, but when he returns, Oh it will begin...more details when I write back.

Love,
Micah

San Diego!

Well today my mom, dad, sister, and myself took a little trip to San Diego and Escondido. It was very relaxing and refreshing. I just simply love the air out there....NO SMOG! We visited the Seaport Village, which has a bunch of little shops of random stuff, like a x-mas shop with this fat stray cat who sleeps in a little bed (his name was max and I got to pet him for a while).
They also have a sweet old fashioned bookstore with a built in cafe, so obviously i grabbed an IBM (with a little caramel). The pictures you see above were just some photos i took on photo booth on my laptop (even though people were looking at me and whispering about the skinny white kid being rather peculiar with his laptop). The ones with the aircraft carrier were of the U.S.S. Midway, which in 2004 opened up as a museum in honor of the years at sea during WWII (little random fact for ya). We had a good time, and I'm hoping to go again pretty soon. Hope you all are having a great weekend, and see you guys soon!

In Class Today!

This is my friend Trav who lives down the street, we both have macbook pro's and as you can see we love to mess with em....even in class, he he. That picture was taken our Adv. Digital Imaging with Mrs. Mendolia, we only have 7 kids in the class...seriously, haha, but hey it's pretty sweet!

Its a Grind!

You gotta love it! Man I haven't gotten to chill there in a while. Oh Man, I heard so many good bands on the bose speakers implanted into the ceiling, pretty sweet. I tried there new Butter Brickle Blonde iced coffe drink, and it was darn good! I think I might try there new tea drink some time soon, it was something like peach flavored. And of course WiFi BABY! Not to steal McDonald's slogan, but I'm lovin' it!
It was rather interesting, I happened to sit next to two young ladies, when one of them asked the other, "So, what do you think about Jesus and how he died on the cross?" I was thinking 'Wow, that's an icebreaker if I ever heard one, haha' and then they continued to discuss there future with college and how one of the girls wanted to go to India and then come back to the states to attend a Cal State University. Pretty darn interesting stuff.
While I was there, I also got to finish a project that my digital imaging teacher had us working on. We had to make or find a bottled drink and make our own label for it. So I chose to use a Jones Soda Bottle and make my own picture and name for it.

Adulthood/Overflow Quick Post!

That's right folks, in a week from today I will be turning 18 years old! I know kinda scary, but hey we all have to sooner or later.

Come to The Overflow Tonight and check out Sarah Bourns talking about healing and myself leading musical celebration. Thanks for reading, and hopefully I shall see you guys tonight!

Sex God Video

Just for your viewing pleasure I made this little video (don't worry it is much shorter than the last one I made). It's just a quick peak at the trip to UCLA to see Rob Bell. Enjoy.

This movie is also on my myspace.

Costly Internet, Free Sex God!

Hello Everybody,

Well today after the Justice League Meeting, (a ministry we have in The Overflow focused on the injustice in the world) I headed over to It's A Grind to chill with my mac and I almost purchased a new iced coffee toffee drink they just started making, but I had insufficient funds due to the loss of a $5 somewhere that day. So I headed to the Starbucks on Van Buren and used my long lost Starbucks card from x-mas to get a caramel frap, but come to find out you have to pay for internet access there. Rediculous! I got to listen to Rob Bell's Sex God some more and it is really good. I highly recommend it, I got the audiobook from my parents, but I still want to buy the actually book itself. Have a great week and I'll post you guys later!

Rob Bell @ UCLA!

So pretty much Heather, Jon, Kathy, my mom, and myself got a chance to see Rob Bell at UCLA. He is on his book tour right now for his latest book, "Sex God" and for his premiere for his new Nooma Video, "You" (his 15th video). The whole trip there I was wondering how full the room was going to be and curious how many people actually knew who he was. He came out to do some Q&A time for whatever we wanted to discuss or ask about, so people just started asking questions and he openly answered them as best he could. I took a few pictures but didn't want to be a distraction with flash, so I did the best I could with a few shots. Overall it was , for me, encouraging to hear from people around that community there in UCLA and apparently from Texas to Ohio that are thinking, feeling, and struggling with the same ideas as I am each day and asking God for strengh as we love Him and everyone else next to us.

Boone Daddy on Podcast

Thats right folks! Sam Boone our new Overflow High School Pastor will be available in the podcast directory soon enough, more details will be unfolded through my blog. I shall try and keep this updated, but at first we are going to do just audio and possibly video later! So I am stoked, I hope you are too! Pretty soon I will show you a clip of what is to come in terms of his sermons. Have a great week!
