Anthem

Finals, O.G.'s, Grille, and the Dentist

As you can see from the title, my school is having Finals this week, and I have a major one tomorrow for Gov. and I have a lot of material to cover for it. Some of which we havn't even covered...bummer. On the bright side, I got to go my brother's house, Mike, and join his O.G. small group. It was sweet, very small amount of people, so everybody knows everyone, and we can feel free to speak our minds (which also means make fun of each other.) I am hopefully going to start working at The Grove Grille this week (tomorrow) because I would like to start making some mula, and saving up for stuff like prom, Life 2007, Mexico Mission Trip, Macbook, etc. But if I do start tomorrow for like training, that means that I will have to either reschedule my dentist appointment or ask to start work later (on my first day, yikes.) So I hope it all works out in the end. Alright well I gotta go study for Gov. and TV/Video Prod. Finals. Take it easy everybody.

Some of my Week

Quick Post

Wednesdays are crazy for me, especially today. I had a job interview at The Grove Grille today, played drums with The Refuge (Jr. High Youth Group), listened to my brother (Rodrigo) teach about the real truth and knowledge behind the story of, "The Good Samaritan". Turned in my application for the Overflow Mexico Mission Trip, talked with friends after Rodrigo blessed us, longed to play volleyball with Trav and the Overflow, attended the College Night with Dan, and finally came home to eat food and barely type this out, haha. So yea I am pretty tired, however I did want to say that I think Dan is doing a great job with this whole College Night Community he has started, and that I am very proud of Stevie for leadership in the Refuge and his encouragement to read The Bible. I'll see you all soon, still got lots to do, including sleep.

Like Rodrigo said "Love Wins."

Lights, Camera, Satisfaction!

"Let there be snow!"....and there was.

The topic of the day of course (as everyone knows) is that it SNOWED in Riverside. Supposedly the first time in 20 years, pretty crazy and not to mention cold. I took a little trip outside and saw the flurries fly onto my car early this morning and that alone was well worth freezing my butt off. Although, it was sad when that darn sun had to rise and melt everything. Nevertheless, this will be a memorable day for Riverside's incomparable history.

Mr. U's

I ate at Mr. U's Chinese Food Restaurant with my padre today, and boy do I love me some orange and teriyaki chicken. I have eaten at a few Chinese places in my time but this one is probably the best. I recommend going to check it out at the shopping center on Trautwein and Van Buren.

So Much Is Going On!

First of all I just want to say, "AHHHHHHHH!!!". Ok, now that I got that over with... Lately everything seems hectic in my life. I have been trying to get a job because if I dont get one, then I can't use the car (not to mention I could use the extra dough). I am still trying to finish up my application for CBU, and study for the ACT at the same time. I apparently missed my chance to order my cap and gown for graduation. And most of all, my dear and beloved friend Travis Osborne is moving up north for his two boys with asthma. I am really going to miss him, but I am still glad that he is doing this for his boys because he is an amazing man to look up to. We will all miss you Trav! (and his family Annette, Paton, Jonah, & Davey)

>BTW I found my receipt for my cap and gown order.<

"Puerto Rico!"

"Puerto Rico!" The simplest way to describe it is that it is a board game about strategy. Yesterday my brother, Rodrigo, taught 'Waffles' (Ryan) and myself how to play the wonder that is, "Puerto Rico". It is a fun game that takes at least 3 people to play. In a nutshell it is about collecting "Victory Points" by doing certain actions like selling goods, so naturally you need to be able to gather 'colonists' and plantations/fields to receive barrels of certain supplies (coffee, indigo, sugar, tobacco, and corn). Whoever collects the most "Victory Points" at the end of the game wins. I highly recommend checking it out, or at least request that Rodrigo teach you how to play so that you can join our table of doom and dominate in this brutal competition.

P.S. I won my first time playing against Waffles and Rodrigo, and then again today against Rodrigo and Hassdog #2. Hopefully we will be having a game this weekend with:
  • Rodrigo
  • Holly
  • Hassdog #1
  • Hassdog #2
  • Myself
